On March 25, this Gravenstein apple bonsai got a beautiful new container during a very special gathering and live repotting by Curator Aarin Packard with assistance from Courtney Branam. Huge thanks to Bob Laws, who created this bonsai and donated to us in 2021, and Portland, OR-based ceramicist Nao Tokutake, who custom-created (and later donated) this container. Here is an update to our moss muck project, as requested by a viewer. Last February, Curator Aarin Packard showed us how he used materials he had on hand to improvise a muck and apply moss to this bonsai container.
