Babies should be using muscles from the middle and back of their mouths to functionally breastfeed. When you see overuse of the muscles in the front of face it's because the baby is compensating. Babies are so smart and will figure out the easiest way to get fed and sometimes that means breastfeeding dysfunctionally.
