But in all seriousness, it’s a great way to open up the low back & I find myself giving passive stretches like this to clients that feel like their low back “needs distraction”. Obviously if I’m concerned about any lumbar instability, I’m probably staying away from this one. Passive stretches like this are rarely a permanent fix, but there’s nothing wrong with hurting less.
